Plot:

a. Setting: Mrs. Piggot did the housework and went to work for her family everyday.

b. Conflict: Mr. Piggot and his sons were not only lazy but also having no gratitude to Mrs. Piggot.

c. Rising action: Mrs. Piggot left them.

d. Climax: They didn't know how to cook and how to clean the house and found they couldn't live without Mrs. Piggot.

e. Denouement: They hoped Mrs. Piggot to come back.

f. End: They began to help Mrs. Piggot to do the housework and they were all happy.

Summary

    There were a father, mother and two sons in Piggott family.  At the beginning, Mr. Piggot and his sons was lazy.  They never did housework except for Mrs. Piggot.  One day, Mrs. Piggot couldn’t stand for it, and left home for a period of time.  Mr. Piggot and his son didn’t know how to cook and do housework, so their house became dirty.  Finally, Mrs. Piggot came back and they did the housework “together”.

Reflection

    When I take Piggybook, I was attracted by the cover of the book.  The mother carried Father and two children on her back, it was strange and unusual!   I found the pictures in the book were meaningful, each of them reveal signs about what would happened latter.  I thought the writter of Piggybook was attentive.

    I liked this book because it told me women could do more things that men did as usual.  And womem played important role in families.  I also liked the pictures.  When I reading, I found Father and two sons in the story were turning to pigs slowly, for example: readers could see some of furniture was turning to pigs at first and then shadows became pigs, too.  At last, three of them changed into pigs!  It was really interesting!
