The ox-cart man and his families were working hard for making the goods which would be sold in the winter. Each of them had different works to do. In fall, he walked in front of the ox-cart which was filled with many commidities. When he arrived Portsmouth market, he sold all the things even his cart and ox. He earned much money and bought something they needed and candies. Everyone started to do the works as usual.
Reflection
The story is about the life of the ox-cart man. And we can say this portries a life of villagers before. I like the style of their lives in this book because there are no conflict, no pollution and no natural disaster. Every thing there is peace and all people are happy and gentle. They don't need to worry about unemployment and also have no pressure from lot of exam like today.
However, although the ancient life is easier and more joyous, the traffic is unconvenient. And I think sometimes a little competition can make us progress quickly. As result, I love my life much more!
