Summary

Officer Buckle knew lots of safety tips and he often gave the speeches at Napville School but nobody ever listened.  Afterward, it was business as usual.

One day, Navill's police department bought a police dog named Gloria which always accompanied Officer Buckle to give safety speeches.  When Buckle told one safety tip, Gloria did one fuuny action.  From then on, every liked to listen to safety speeches.  Officer Buckle had have been surprised and happy to be invited to gave more and more safety speeches until he watched his video and found they actually liked Gloria's performance.  He was upset and didn't want to gave a speech anymore.  Officer Buckle letted Gloria to perfom by himself.  However, Gloria couldn't do any action without Officer Buckle.  As the result, something trouble happened as before.

Students wrote Officer Buckle letters to invited him to gave a safety speech.  Finally, Officer Buckle brought Gloria to school again.

Reflection

The story was interesting and wonderful.  I had read the book for three times,  and every time I enjoyed the story very much!  I also liked the picture which was said that a big trouble happend and there was a pretty bad mess.  The words in that page was big and irregular.  It made me feel the words just like the part of the picture!

I thought the style of  Gloria is similar to Snoopy, a superstar in cartoon!  Both of them were funny and they always did something that  only people could did, for example: Gloria could undersand each of the tips that Police Buckle proclaimed and he acted the meanings of  the tips.  Although it was a little ridiculous, I liked it very much!  And I wish the dogs in our school would be as interesting as Gloria!

OX-CART MAN

Narrative point of view: Omniscient Narrator

Plot:

a. Setting: Ox-cart man and his families were busy preparing the commidities.

d. Denouement: His families were happy to welcome him and used the new utentils.

e. End: They did the same works again and again.

Summary

The ox-cart man and his families were working hard for making the goods which would be sold in the winter.  Each of them had different works to do.  In fall, he walked in front of the ox-cart which was filled with many commidities.  When he arrived Portsmouth market, he sold all the things even his cart and ox.  He earned much money and bought something they needed and candies.  Everyone started to do the works as usual.

Reflection

The story is about the life of the ox-cart man.  And we can say this portries a life of villagers before.  I like the style of  their lives in this book because there are no conflict, no pollution and no natural disaster.  Every thing there is peace and all people are happy and gentle.  They don't need to worry about unemployment and also have no pressure from lot of exam like today.

However, although the ancient life is easier and more joyous, the traffic is unconvenient.  And I think sometimes a little competition can make us progress quickly.  As result, I love my life much more!

Reflection

When I read this book, I asked myself that what I should do if there were lots of cats in front of  me!  RAN!  Yes, I would run.  Although the cats in the book are cute and lovely, millions of eyes stared to me and all of them were eager to be adopted.  I thought it was a very stressful for me, so I admired the old man's bravery.

After reading the story, I thought the group of cats were just like a society in our lives.  They struggled for being a most beautiful one and to be forstered by the old man and woman.  People were the same, too!  For being promoted by their superiors winning a prize, they would pull strings to their competitpr and fighting each other.  However, sometimes a people who was keep silent got benefits.  It was said that "It's the third party that benefits from the tussle."
